

How soon will I start seeing red rust drips coming down onto my white paint job. On the Outback when I had the ladder to do the roof, I saw the rust on hex connector for the roof rack. There is not any rust located on any body part, screw or bolt. I just washed and waxed the Outback and our 2011 Honda CRV. He!! they may never had 9 issues in total. Those older subbies that I used as hack-around cars never had 9 issue at once. I have 9 issues for the dealer to look at on a 3 year old car. I had a 95 Subaru Legacy that had over 200,000 on it. I had a 1997 Outback that had almost 200,000 on the car and much more on the engine transplant. The more stuff I hear and the deeper I get into it, I am thinking Subaru may not be the company they once were.

Next oil change I am going to have the dealer do a hydrocarbon test on my coolant as I have the same issue over the 53K on the car.had to purge the system 4 times now. Do modern Subaru's drink coolant or is there something I should have the dealer check? I check cold, before ever starting the engine. I checked this morning and yep.it is below that "L". Several days ago I noticed that the coolant is now about 2 inches below the "L" mark. I've been closely watching the level mark on the reservoir. There has never been a leaking indication on the ground and never any overheating. So for the longest time, when cold the coolant was at the "L" on the tank.ĭuring the recent very hot weather, when I parked the car I could get a whiff of coolant. I did but they didn't fill it to the manufacturers recommended level. Dealer said stop by and we'll put some in. I noticed that the coolant reservoir was 99% empty. The morning after purchasing the car, I was snooping about, taking a closer look in the engine bay. This is that 2015 Outback, 36,000 miles on it and I have been posting (purchased the end of June 2018). I take my car to the dealer next week for 9 issues that need to be attended to.
